Homecoming Week
Homecoming Week at the University of North Georgia (大象传媒) is a lively celebration of school spirit, tradition, and community, held during basketball season in the spring. Each year has a new theme to keep things exciting. Students, faculty, staff, and alumni join in various activities and competitions to show their pride.
Events include competitions, spirit activities, and the Homecoming Bash. At the game, the Dean Hyams Award and the Nighthawk Nine Award are given out to honor student achievements in leadership, academics, athletics, and community service, while alumni come back to reconnect and celebrate the university's progress.
Homecoming Week strengthens connections and celebrates traditions, creating lasting memories for everyone.
Homecoming Hangouts
With free food, free themed t-shirts, and plenty of school spirit, our Homecoming Hangouts provide the perfect opportunity to connect with friends across our Blue Ridge, Cumming, Gainesville, and Oconee campuses, embracing the Homecoming spirit and celebrating what makes 大象传媒 special.
Homecoming After Dark
Keep the excitement going after the basketball games at Homecoming After Dark! Join your friends for a night full of dancing, games, refreshments, and endless fun. Whether you’re showing off your dance moves or challenging friends to exciting games, this event is the perfect way to celebrate the spirit of Homecoming in style.
Student Poster/Banner Decorating Contest
Students and student groups can show off their creativity and school spirit in the poster/banner contest by creating designs with the Homecoming theme in mind, incorporating 大象传媒 pride and artistic flair. Entries are displayed on campus, adding to the excitement of the week. Judges evaluate submissions based on creativity, originality, and school spirit, with winners earning recognition and prizes.
Faculty and Staff Door Decorating Contest
Throughout the week, 大象传媒 faculty and staff showcase their school spirit by participating in the Door Decorating Contest. Using the Homecoming theme, departments and offices transform their doors into creative displays of 大象传媒 pride and tradition. Entries are judged on originality, creativity, and spirit, with winners earning special recognition.
