Coach Agreements
- Be prepared, present, and non-judgmental during our coaching sessions.
- Be a thought partner with you as you define academic goals and create a plan to meet those goals.
- Help you connect to appropriate on campus resources such as academic advising, financial aid, counseling, and accessibility services.
- Keep all meeting information confidential except under the following circumstances.
- If the coach is concerned the student is a danger to themselves or others
- If the coach becomes aware of the student’s involvement in abuse of children, elderly, or disabled persons.
- If the coach is otherwise required by law to disclose information.
- Maintain a professional relationship inside and outside of coaching sessions.
Student Agreements
- Come on-time and prepared to coaching appointments. Choose an environment that has limited distractions. If you fail to arrive to your meeting (with no prior notice) within the 10-minute grace period, you will be marked as a ‘no show,’ and you will need to make another appointment.
- Be ready to lead the process and conversation.
- Be willing to discuss and explore factors such as study habits, motivation, and behaviors that could be impacting your academic success.
- Take steps towards your goals between appointments. Be honest when discussing progress and challenges that are present throughout the semester.
- Be open to feedback in times of positivity and times of needed improvement.
- Be ready to be held accountable for the aspects of your academic success that you have control over.
