Gerontology Undergraduate Certificate
The Gerontology Certificate is designed to enable students at the undergraduate level and non-degree seeking students to obtain the certificate in 2-3 semesters of course work. The Gerontology certificate is a fully online program and courses are offered during the fall, spring and summer semesters.

Program Objectives
- To provide students with a theoretical introduction to the field of Gerontology theory, application, and research.
- To provide students with opportunities for clinical internship experiences with older adults in a community setting.
- To provide public service programs to meet educational, professional, and community needs.
- To prepare students to meet the physiological, sociological, psychological, and community demands of an ever increasing population of older adults.
- To integrate distance learning with web based technologies which enhance student exposure to the field of Gerontology.
- To facilitate understanding of cultural, social, and economic differences in the study of aging.
